Why Insulation Matters
Insulation stabilizes indoor temperatures, limits condensation on steel surfaces, and reduces energy use. Without it, a container can easily overheat in summer or lose heat in winter. Every CHOMEX unit is designed for optimal comfort using EPS composite panels and a polyurethane-insulated floor structure.
How CHOMEX Insulation Works
Each CHOMEX unit uses EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) color-steel composite panels across the walls, ceilings, and roof, combined with an optional polyurethane insulation layer under the floor. Together, these materials form a continuous thermal barrier that slows heat transfer and keeps indoor temperatures consistent year-round.
| Component | CHOMEX Structure | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Roof | 50–65 mm EPS core; steel exterior and bamboo fiber interior; corrugated steel veneer on main and side wings | Reduces solar heat gain and resists weather exposure; adds thermal protection from above |
| Walls |
15 mm EPS integrated panel; steel exterior and bamboo fiber interior 50 mm PO silver-coated steel lining |
Maintains stable indoor temperature and minimizes heat exchange |
| Floor | 18 mm bamboo board + 4–8 mm SPC stone-plastic flooring; polyurethane insulation base; 1.2 mm steel bottom protection | Prevents ground heat transfer, enhances comfort, and adds structural strength |
| Doors & Windows | Aluminum or broken-bridge aluminum frames with double-pane hollow tempered glass | Improves air-tightness, soundproofing, and thermal performance |
Material Advantages
-
EPS composite panels:
- Lightweight, durable, and high-strength construction
- A2 fire-protection class and available in customizable colors

- Polyurethane floor insulation: Excellent thermal resistance and moisture protection at the base.
- SPC flooring: Water-proof, Sound-proof, Green, Anti-bacterial, Anti-slipping, and High strength.

- Glazed doors and windows: Improves sealing efficiency and reduces thermal bridging.

Climate Readiness
From cold winters to hot, humid summers, the CHOMEX insulation system minimizes temperature fluctuations and controls condensation. For harsher environments, thicker EPS panels or reflective exterior coatings can be added for superior resistance.

Energy & Comfort
High-performance insulation and airtight glazing can reduce heating and cooling needs by up to 30–40%, depending on climate. This results in lower energy costs, quieter interiors, and consistent comfort throughout the year.
Owner Tips
- Inspect and reseal doors and windows periodically.
- Keep ventilation paths clear to manage indoor humidity.
- Use insulated curtains or shades for added performance.
- For off-grid systems, pair insulation with solar and energy-efficient HVAC.
Sustainability
EPS panels and SPC flooring are recyclable and long-lasting. Their light weight reduces overall structural load and material waste. Lower energy consumption supports CHOMEX’s mission of efficient, modular, and sustainable living.
