Setting up your CHOMEX container home is quick and straightforward — especially when it comes to utility hookups. Here’s everything you need to know about where the connections are, what they do, and how to use them.

🚽 Drainage: Two Separate Lines

On the rear center underside of your home, you’ll find two separate drainage pipes:

  • Black Water Line (4" PVC): This is your main sewage outlet, which handles toilet waste.

  • Grey Water Line (1.5" PVC): This outlet drains sink and shower water only.

👉 These are separated for a reason: Black water requires more robust sanitation management, while grey water is often filtered or recycled for landscaping in off-grid setups. Keeping them separate allows more flexibility in eco-friendly living.

💦 Water Supply

Also located in this same rear area are your cold and hot water inlets:

  • Cold Water (¾" line): Standard supply.

  • Hot Water (¾" line): Optional — if you’re using an external hot water source (like your home’s boiler or an outdoor water heater), you can connect here.
Prefer to keep things self-contained? Simply use the cold water inlet and install your hot water boiler inside the unit.

âš¡ Electrical Connection

On the top-right corner of the rear wall, you’ll find your electrical hookup port.

We provide a two-part hookup system:

  • One part connects to your main power source (your electrician will install this).

  • The second part connects directly to your CHOMEX unit.

This makes it easy to plug in and unplug when needed — ideal for seasonal use, temporary installations, or mobility.

Need help with setup? Our team is here to guide you through every step. Whether you’re going fully off-grid or connecting to city lines, CHOMEX homes are made to fit your lifestyle.
